James Dahl grew up in central Minnesota.  When he was 12 years old, James formed a band and has since been performing throughout the state as a singer and lead guitarist in bands such as: “Epic”, “4th Gear”, “The Solid Silver Band”, “The Amber Skies Band”, and "The Cedar Creek Band".

​James has a very relaxed male vocal style that is well suited to the intimate nature of the singer/songwriter music he performs. 

 James accents the acoustic guitar accompaniments with a variety of finger picking, lead, and rhythm playing styles.
