Beyond the Trees is an acoustic duo made up of Alek Glauvitz (guitar and vocals) and Arja Lea Niskanen (vocals) from Saint Paul, MN. They perform an eclectic acoustic mix of folk, original, and contemporary and classic rock. Their original music blends a Minnesota/North Shore sensibility with an urban/bluegrass-folk feel for a very unique sound. They have performed sets over the past three years from the Twin Cities to Southern Minnesota and to the most northwestern border of the state; from central Wisconsin to Wisconsin’s northern lake shores.
