2015 Pinot Noir
The grapes used to make this wine were grown in Sanoma County, California and picked early October just before the onset of fall.Fermentation lasted almost three weeks and after a gentle drain and press, the wine was barreled down and allowed to rest for nearly a year prior to bottling. New French oak barrels were used to heighten the aromatics of this delicate wine.
The 2015 Pinot Noir boasts a fuller body compared to past vintages. With earthy notes of black truffles and moral mushrooms and black Cherry undertones. Intense yet delicate, with lively acidity, firm, ripe tannins and a pleasant touch of graphite and minerals on the finish.
A classic pairing with rack of lamb or grilled venison. The wine will only get better with some age and will reach its peak maturity in 2021.
