Reception Locations

Reception in Creekside

Chankaska Creekside is a stunning reception venue that is lined with matures trees and a winding creek. It features a 40 x 80 tent with cathedral windows and 20-foot vaulted ceilings. Dance the night away under the romantic lighting or find yourself sitting by a crackling fire. Use the additional outdoor area for lawn games, cocktail hour, or a casual social space throughout the evening. The Creekside Tent can be cooled depending on the season and can accommodate approximately 250 guests for seated events.

Reception in Event Center

As you walk into the Chankaska Event Center the chandeliers are sure to make a statement while they highlight exposed wooden beams that are also complemented by natural lighting. The outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard, private fire area, and exclusive lounge tie this whole reception site together. Additional features of the Event Center include a bridal suite and grooms suite for all your wedding day needs. Enjoy this versatile space all year long.  Take a tour of our Event Center.

 

 

Ceremony Locations

Creekside (Only Available for Creekside Tent Weddings)

This premier ceremony space is located on the right bank of Chankaska Creek and is set in a natural canopy of trees. Walk down the aisle and say your “I Do’s” under a beautiful wooden arch listening to the babbling creek. Take a tour of our Creekside Tent.

Forest (Available for Creekside Tent or Event Center Weddings)

Guests will be delighted when crossing one of the two beautiful bridges to this two-tiered, picturesque site that offers an open-air, intimate venue for ceremonies. Beautiful stone steps and a wooden arch highlight the area. Take a tour of our Forest Area. 

Court (Available for Creekside Tent or Event Center Weddings)

This beautiful ceremony site is outlined with mature birch trees and colorful wildflowers. This site is also home to our famous oak tree. Any way your guests are seated they will love the view!

Winemakers House

When booking our creekside tent space, we offer one of our two bridal changing areas located in our barrel room or winemaker's house. An event center rental can upgrade their changing area for an additional cost to provide a private and spacious location to get ready prior to the ceremony.

The staff did a FABULOUS job for my daughter's wedding. With all the uncertainties in planning a wedding in a year of Covid, Cynthia (Event Coordinator) was professional and was quick to answer any questions we had leading up to the wedding. The staff was flexible and courteous, assisting in any way that they could to make this event happen flawlessly. I have heard MANY comments from our guests about how impressed they were with the serving attitude that Cynthia and her staff provided. My daughter and her new husband truly had the wedding of their dreams! I highly recommend this venue.

I cannot recommend Chankaska enough for a wedding venue. We had both our ceremony and reception at the creekside site and were blown away! Our guests LOVED exploring the grounds and the winery itself before our ceremony! We worked with Cynthia leading up to the wedding and she covered all the details thoroughly and everything went perfectly! The service was fabulous and we loved working with our caterer we found through Chankaska. Everyone STILL raves about the food (Apples 2 Apples) and the beautiful venue! We love having a built-in date and trip down memory lane every time we visit the winery. We are from the Twin Cities and decided on Chankaska because of its beauty, the confidence we felt dealing with Cynthia, and knowing they had beer, wine, and spirits available onsite for our guests at the reception. They offer multiple options for ceremony and reception to fit all needs, which is brilliant. We were fortunate to also take sunset photos during golden hour in the vineyard and WOW. Everything was beautiful and perfect!

This was a beautiful place to get married and Cynthia is the absolute best! She was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process and just as helpful on the day of our wedding. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, excited, and at ease as we planned our special day. Like all the staff at Chankaska, Cynthia always made us feel special and helped us create an experience unique to us. Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery is not only a fun place to visit but a very special place to say your vows.

Chankaska is a family favorite. It has a great atmosphere and an even better wine selection. My husband and I recently had our wedding reception in the Event Center at Chankaska. It was great working with Cynthia and the rest of the staff! Everyone was very accommodating and professional; the event space is absolutely beautiful! Several of our guests made comments about how beautiful the space and grounds are. We would gladly recommend Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery to anybody considering hosting an event there.

This venue is gorgeous, perfect for your outdoor ceremony on the lawn in the woods and Italian winery-inspired reception. The layout is perfect for keeping guests entertained, with a large bar and outdoor fire pit. It's really easy to get to and to find, for guests coming from out of town or who aren't familiar with the area. The bridal suite and groom's room are perfect spots to cozy up and get ready in. But those aren't the best parts of this venue. The best part? The staff. I have been to a LOT of weddings, and as a wedding planner, I was blown away by how professional, courteous, kind, and generous the staff was. Everything went off without a hitch because this venue understands that a wedding day can't reach perfection without support. THANK YOU guys for making my job that much easier and for ensuring that my couple had a perfect wedding day!

We could not have picked a better venue or great group of people to work with. Originally Chankaska was not on our list, but we paid a visit while we were in town, the venue and Cynthia we so pleasant accommodating! We fell in love within moments of touring the site. We had no idea this hidden gem existed so close to where we used to live. Each outdoor ceremony location option was breathtaking, and our hardest decision was which to choose. The new reception area and bar were out of this world gorgeous. One of the most enjoyable parts of this venue was that in the following days nearly every guest that attended changed their social media photo to something from Chankaska that night. The catering was well done, and they knew what to do. The food was spectacular. One of the greatest parts of this venue was the opportunity to go into the vineyards at sunset to take photos at "golden hour". While all the photos from Chankaska turn out amazing, these are the ones that are especially print-worthy. To top it off, the price was completely reasonable, and there are tons of hotels and transportation options nearby. We HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor or indoor wedding. (p.s. We were living in California at the time of our wedding and visit wineries every week. Chankaska wines are actually great! Probably best in Minnesota.)

Chankaska was the most PERFECT place for our wedding and we were so happy with the entire planning process and day of the wedding! We had both our ceremony and our reception in the event center; the staff was very efficient and timely with the flip. My husband and I planned our wedding from out of state; Cynthia was great to work with and efficient with her communication. Our wedding day was predicted to have lots of snow which could of course stress the bride, but Cynthia helped to keep me calm and attended to every tiny detail to make sure it all went smoothly. She had many great ideas to improve the flow and timeline of the wedding. Our guests had so many great things to say about the beautiful building and the great food and wine! We are so happy with everything Chankaska provided for our wedding and I highly recommend them!
