Aromas of apple, toast and sweet caramel on the nose. Tiny bubbles tickle your tongue as the apple notes carry forward onto the palate. Not too sweet, not too dry, with a clean, lingering finish.
The fall 2016 relesae of Equinoce Extra Dry is made from a blend of Frontenac Gris and Frontenac Blanc, both variations of the hybrid variety, Frontenac, which was developed by the University of Minnesota. Frontenac Blanc is a new addition to Chankaska's selection of grapes, and lends aromas of melona nd grapefruit alongside tart green apple and croissant notes. On the palate, the effervescence minglres with a long, sweet-tart finish. Equinoce Extra Dry pairs well with salty hard cheeses, green salads with fruit such as apples or pears, and toasting to friends old and new.
