Barrel Gin
Chankaska’s first batch of our artisan Distilled Gin was created over months of painstaking recipe testing and small-batch trials. The base spirit comes from grain similar to our whiskey. After some experimenting, we decided to put this same Gin in Whiskey Barrels for 7 months. The result was nothing short of amazing! It has both a Sweet and a Savory side to it.
The nose of our Gin is slightly floral, with hints of elderflower, orange marmalade cobbler, and warm spice complimenting the juniper. On the palate, there is an assertive spiciness that pairs nicely with ginger ale, or try it in artisan cocktails such as a Moscow Mule or Old Fashioned.
