Cellaring and Drinking

Most of the Chankaska white wines are made to be enjoyed while they are young and fresh, within a year or two of their production year or vintage. Over time wines continue to age and develop slowly in the bottle, depending on the temperature of storage conditions. As wines age, they sometimes begin to lose their clean aromatic and flavor qualities, or these qualities begin to slowly change and diminish. This is why we encourage our customers not to save white wines for extended aging, but to enjoy them while they are young, fresh and vibrant. Our white wines should be consumed chilled to between 45 and 50 degrees prior to enjoying.
